SMW Manufacturing at its core is an engineering company. Our world class experience within the cold forming and machining space enables SMW to deliver precision components to our customer's at globally competitive pricing.
SMW's North American headquarters is located 10 minutes away from the heart of the automotive industry, Detroit, MI. Among the various components we make, SMW specializes in the heavy truck, automotive, mining, construction and industrial markets.
On November 4th, SMW Manufacturing joined the Amsted Automotive family.

Cold Forming
(27)National Machinery Cold Formers capable of producing components from 3/4" to 1.875" in diameter and up to 22 inches in length. The addition of a 2000 Ton press and a 1200 Ton press allows SMW to produce parts up to 6 inches in diameter.
Machining
SMW has dedicated machining cells consisting of multi-spindle CNC machines, precision centerless grinders and (4) rotary transfer hydromat machines.
warm/HOT FORMING
Fully automated induction heating line including a 2000 Ton National Machinery press and trim press. 6-Die Progressive warm former.
ENGINEERING
Experienced team, leading in custom tooling design. 3D simulation programming, minimizing development cost's and lead-time.
